Anxiety of Waiting
From what tableau do they enter?
Where are they born?
Nescience of mind?
Mindless nescience?
Why do they tease, exist, hide?
What sunders them from me?
Toying with me
like a useless, worthless appurtenance.
I lie alone, foolishly waiting.
They are there,
my mind here.
Ready to receive,
starved imagination waits.
Is creativity lost?
My life, manufacture of verse.
I write, I live.
Return Muse, Wordsmith.
Absence causes heartfelt fear,
unbearable despondency, despair.
