A Salute to Me and My Funeral

Can’t you tell who it is?

My eyes are vacuums, sucking
in ideas from the realm of reality.

Can’t you tell who it is?

My ears gather wooden noises to
build houses of melodic pleasure.

Can’t you tell who it is?

My hand is the instrument
of my magic. It guides creation.

Can’t you tell who it is?

My mouth is the conveyor for
the ghosts that live inside of me.

Can’t you tell who it is?

My life is three o’clock.
By four o’clock, it’s been replaced.

Can’t you tell who it was?
