i’ve ambled along the streets
of this infinite city
a thousand times
looking at all
of the flashing lights
like a baby in a candy store
or a surfer
who has just been carried
by the most breathtaking breaker

the street
can convey
the information
of the day
if i desire,
i can even watch it
in the herky-jerky
style allowed
by my flawed technology

as i wander
i am attacked
by erotica
that i never solicited
i dispose
of it immediately
as it encompasses
no benefit for me

i speed pass
the pharmacies
which sell their discounted
miraculous medications
at a velocity
of almost 56,000 bps
a pace even
too demanding
for the most virulent
of creatures

up ahead,
i am beckoned
by the neon
i go to the place

i enter.
like the ended electronic entertainment.
a place where everybody
knows your name.

------of course-----------------

hurt hardened hearts
rude words
crude words
polite words
pleasant words

nonetheless
ah
nonetheless
i shall come back
and continue
to caress
the cup of creativity
