Dark Man

If I stayed in bed too long
for the sake of Jim Beam’s song,
Dark Man, what would you do?
You’d walk out like nothing’s wrong.

If the glass behind my shades
were fixated renegades,
Dark Man what would you do?
You’d sing smoke filled serenades.

If I find the tab a bed
on the tongue inside my head,
Dark Man what would you do?
You’d leave laughing as I plead.

If the room fills up with snow
and the wind begins to blow,
Dark Man, what would you do?
You’d say nothing as you go.

If you see the damage done,
like Neil, with a pointed gun,
Dark Man, what would you do
as my life became undone?
