Delusion
My heart weeps for reasons unknown,
unable to extricate itself from love’s puzzle,
my only mate haunting introspection.
Her mesmerizing smile had melted my marrow.
Though enough love for everyone
lives in her generous heart,
such treasure left me with an empty core,
a bewildered emotional, mental meltdown.
Innate ties could not help me,
our pasts contained by differing spaces.
Shaking, wide-eyed, mouth speechless,
I fell into impossible, mortal pain.
