Love shines
like the sun,
invisiblemost of the time.
Such folly to expect
Love to sidestep
clouds,
rain.

Questions
of
who’s right
and who’s wrong
drape darkness over Love.

Melting minds,
precarious pondering
unsteadies the legs of Love,
cause confusion.

Burning hunger
for unfulfilled desire
challenges Love’s patience,
whittling worry from wooden distance.

Lest we forget,
hold fast to facts.
Touch the brand we burned
along side ancient scars
that travel our paths
and
know that,
while the one produces pain,
its antithesis underscores eternal Love.
