His Light
A man’s man greets days with plans.
He never says, “No”.
It can be done, it should be tried.
Failure always lifted by his Light.
Rough, tough talk warns the world
of fearlessness, opponents beware.
Small package packs a fighter’s spirit.
Anger always lifted by his Light.
Reconstructing chromatic metal like a
well trained surgeon. Breathing
life into scrap heaps, classic achievement.
Pride always lifted by his Light.
Helped by humor, laughter blends
with candor, self doubt barely seen,
screened by easy smiles, diversion.
Spirits always lifted by his Light.
Stories told of times passed,
highs and lows like anyone,
constantly recapturing compassion.
Memories always lifted by his Light.
