In This Moment

Hurricane skies admonish me.
Crashing into hell,
afloat upon fire.
Molten thoughts melt me.

Wicked wind carries time,
blowing past the present
into inevitable future,
a petrifying prospect at best.

Destiny can halt greatness –
King, Kennedys, The Teacher.
I am not of that cloth.
Destiny impales me incalculably.

Rushing toward the grave,
propelled by screeching engines,
I breathe in your voice.
I’m saved from momentary malediction.
