Morning Miracles

I looked up and the sun was
shining.
And it was unhampered-my soul,
what’s happened!

Morning approached the day,
singing sweetly.
Man, many miracles
will come here today! (I know).

I took a tool - a rake it was –
and groomed Nature.
Oh,
but the grass was
moist with purity.

A frog jumped out
to warn the insects.
I said, “All right, frog,
I can relate to them, too.”

Rabbits were running right
across acres.
My toes were deep
in the dirt
and it really felt good!

The inviting water
proved itself friendly.
It was clear
and beautiful
and my eyes opened.

Again,
I played with
much more meager music.
All of the worms
and sheep
and horses
kissed me.

I guess,
again,
someday,
we’ll get it right - really.
But,
what can I say?
I can’t talk about night,
yet.
