Sonnet #2-The Beginning

Our journey starts as we move northward bound.
The trip we take allows us pensive time
to contemplate the closeness we have found
and mountains that await for us to climb.
An April chill engulfs the April air
and April’s clouds form moistened, darkened skies.
Yet, darkened skies can cause us no despair
within our hopeful hearts and widened eyes.
The summer sun, doubtless, will soon arrive
to give a wondrous glow to our affair
and offer cause for us to feel alive,
a blissful pleasure that we both can share.
The April chill will surely soon be gone
as shades of multi colors will be drawn.
