the Charle's life

the sky was dark
the sea was a rippling
piece of plastic
out from a
big brown barn
jumped Charlie who said
welcome welcome
to our
happy home of hypocrites
what could he mean
this who was
half man
half beast
could it possibly be that
not one
of his grand parents
but both
were dogs
or possibly just that
we don’t see him in
his actual identity these
possible postulates
are not anything
certain just something
hang our hats
on i thought brutality was a thing
of the past but seeing Charlie
sent shivers through my spine
why not even
him whose name is Brute could be half as homely as him whose
name was in reality Charlie
don’t talk Charlie
for we are never comprehending what you say
